Hi,
Thanks, Mom, for the postcard from Mansfield.
I got a letter from Linda Christenberry (girl on Wilder tour who attended Brenau Academy). She is married and expecting a baby in December. They were married secretly, or eloped, or something or other.
Uncle Stick and Aunt Myrt sent Jessica a cute little pair of Levi's and white shirt. They're much too big now, of course, but I expect she'll be riding Starboy in them one of these days.
Jessica slept well most of today. She was fussy this evening so I put her on the back bed in her "Nip and Nap" and she watched me iron. She listened to me chat with her and even responded with a couple of coos. She got bored with this after awhile but a bottle of water kept her interested until I finished the shirts. She took her cereal again this evening and seemed to enjoy it. She is presently sound asleep in her crib while a Colorado rarity - a thunder storm - is crashing all about the house.
I changed our Denver Post subscription from weekdays to just Sunday since neither Peter nor I manage to read it everyday. Jessica's feeding times, however, have enabled me to read about 14 Irish short stories so far.
Also a Parent's Magazine arrived today. Thank you very much; it seems to have lots of good ideas.
Poor Starboy must feel deserted. He was up to the house three times today - just wandering around the fence by our yard. I managed to sneak out for a minute and give him some peppermint candy and stale toast which he greatly enjoyed.
Guess I'd best get to bed before I fall asleep at this desk.
    Bye for now.
Love,
Me
