About the Author
Deanie Humphrys-Dunne is an award-winning children's author. She spent her childhood in Easton CT. Her first book, Tails of Sweetbrier, an autobiography, won the silver medal in the Feathered Quill Book Awards, was a finalist in the Clippa Awards and Honorable Mention in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards. All five of her books have been awarded:"50 Great Books You Should Be Reading Award for 2015!" Her fictional books: Charlie the Horse, Charlene the Star, Charlene the Star and Hattie's Heroes, and Charlene the Star and Bentley Bulldog, are amusing stories told from the animals' points of view. They all convey important life lessons for children.

All of Deanie's books are beautifully illustrated by her sister, Holly Humphrys-Bajaj. Holly also designs the covers for them. Deanie has been featured on several radio shows, including www.theauthorsshow.com. She has also been interviewed on various other radio shows and has received numerous blogging award nominations.

Deanie loves watching equestrian events and figure skating competitions, as well as spending time with her family and dog, Elliott. Elliott is featured in three of Deanie's books!
