Many
years ago, a talented and ambitious scientist, who was a member of the group
working on the creation of surples, decided that it was insane to stop at what
they have achieved. He pleaded for the continuation of the experiment, talking
about the selection of a new super species with unlimited abilities.
The
other members of the group did not support him, arguing that they had already
achieved dazzling results and have gone as far as their knowledge and levels of
science allowed them to. Going even further was too risky.
His name was Vincens von Neiman. He did not back down and continued his experiments in his own laboratory in secret. Neiman spent years working on selection in an attempt to breed a new super human. Soon, he became obsessed by the idea. In the end, Neiman began to experiment on himself. The unacknowledged genius now wanted to create an ideal species that could inhabit the world and dislodge surples and humans. A new super race that was worthy of living on Earth.

Today
is August 16. The year 2095. My name is Kate Blake and I am 17 human years old.
I live in a world where humans have given place to a new race: the Surples.
We are at an unspoken war. A war that has not been openly declared. But neither the surples nor humans wish to co-exist. Humans believe the surples to be artificial, soulless dolls. Surples treat humans like remnants of the past, useless junk for disposal. There are few humans left, and we hold together as a solitary group.
About seventy years ago, humans developed new technology, making it possible to interfere with the process of the formation of an embryo. At the time, due to the worsening ecological conditions, genetically modified food products, along with other factors, humans ceased to bring healthy offspring to life. Every following generation was born much weaker, sicklier.
On the basis of the human DNA, scientists have created a more perfect species of humans - Surples. But they forgot to take into account one tiny nuance.
There
was something that transcends modern science and technology, something that
cannot be artificially made, something that we call a Soul.... Perhaps, the
Surples don't have it... or at least so we have been taught.

Wrapped in One
If you
love Sci-Fi intrigue, mystery, suspense, drama, and twisted plots, then Surples is the read for you! Axi Stark
takes you on Kate's journey in a futuristic world where humans are not at the
top of the races on this planet. What makes Kate unique is a special gene that
has been secretly implanted in her and the plot just gets thicker from there. Surples. I give this two thumbs up!
New favorite book!
What
an incredible read!! Amazing storyline, I felt like I was really living in
their world myself! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good
fantasy read full of adventure, romance, suspense, and fun!!
I want to be Surple!
I
really was pleasantly surprised how good this book is! Written from Kate’s
point of view, see what she sees, feel what she feels, flying, fighting,
jumping…etc., and understanding all the emotions she is going through - her
love for Markus and her surprise when she find out that he is SURPLE, her pain
from losing her best friend and then finding out he is not really dead. The
choices she has to make protecting her friends from finding about her very
dangerous secret and who she really is. Incredible twist and turns is awaiting
you in every page along with beautiful clear language and superb editing. In
the ending there is such an unexpected turn that I wonder if Axi Stark and
Ragel Levi are gonna turn this amazing book into book series. At least I am the
first fan waiting and hoping for it! GREAT book and extremely FUNNY! Recommend
it for everyone ready to jump into the world of SURPLES!!
