Abbott "Pete" Smith D.V.M. June 16, 1938 - February 22, 2010 |
Welcome to Milliron Monday where every Monday we celebrate the legacy of Pete Smith, D.V.M., and Milliron: Abbott “Pete” Smith, D.V.M. The Biography (Monday Creek Publishing 2017), including his wife Jody (1938-2021).
“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven...”
―Ecclesiastes 3:1
I recently found an old cell phone in the bottom of a dresser drawer and remembered why I was saving it. It has several years of voice notes - the interviews for Dr. Smith's biography, Jody's stories, and more. Besides stories of Dr. Smith, Jody told tales of her youth, college days, early marriage, motherhood... and horses. I think they are worth sharing and believe that you will find joy in listening.
This excerpt was recorded in my barn office with Jody and Jerry Hartley. Good times...
History, memories, friendship - I will share more on Milliron Facebook and our YouTube channel in the near future.
Save the Date:
