JULY

·        Jessica, Pat, Debbie, swam at Crystal Pool > Picnic with Swordsons, Albany horse show
·        Sunday McDougal Church > lunch, Bartlett > watch matinee races at Marietta “Missy” won both heats > Debbie’s birthday
·        Alma Ann’s, Marshall’s birthdays > rode Sailor, Debbie rode Saha, J Cricket, around Phillips, back thru Browns > went to play “Charlie Brown” > pizza
·        Pete – speech – New Philadelphia > went to see “Trumpet in the Land”
·        Leave for New York, family reunion/party > 4 days > arrived home 10 pm
·        Jessica’s birthday
·        OVMA meeting Columbus
·        Fritz trimmed Maverick, Apple, reset Cricket
·        Went to Toledo; Knappers
·        4-H picnic
·        Amy Rader here to stay with Jessica > swam at Windy Hills
·        Angel foal born, sorrel “Jessie’s Miracle” registered Standardbred > took Amy home > Janet arrived
·        All swam at Windy Hills > rode Sailor, Janet rode Cricket, J rode Shah, S rode Preak > Pat, Denver camped out
·        Pete, speech, Galion > visited Jessie, party at Garry, Aggie’s
·        Visited Jessie
·        Abbott’s birthday > offer of $50 for Lollipop” > rode Cricket up to J. P.’s campsite
·        Dog show
 
AUGUST
·        Rode to Dow Lake, Paula Brown, Karen Beasley – school teachers
·        Holly here overnight
·        Fritz shod Sailor
·        Pete trimmed Angel’s feet
·        Took Lollipop, Persimmon to Harlen Johnson’s > took Holly home
·        Sherry Indestadt’s birthday
·        County Fair week > 4 H dog show
·        Wet to Mansfield, visited Jessie, picked up Tina, left Pat
·        Dewormed horses > fair horse show, K. Foster
·        Fair races, Missy, 6th and 8th places > pony pulling > dinner, Dolens > took Tina home, visited with Jessie
·        Jennifer took J., P., to Walt Disney movie > Pete and I “Godfather” at the drive-in
·        I rode Cricket, J rode Sailor up Hooper Ridge to Bryson, to Brown, to Kasler Creek, to Owen Cemetery (Slave’s grave, back 329, up Fleming to Eddy’s, back 50A
·        Meigs County Fair, Rich Feldman, Baron 2nd; Jessica, Song 1st in obedience, Best in Show > watched horse show, watch Sherry Indestadt ride horse “James”
·        Rode bareback, saw deer in hay meadow, jumped fence
·        Out with Schultheis’, Marietta, Lobster, played cards
·        Rode – J. Worthington, Jessica, thru Phillips, up old road across from Nellie Bean’s, down Scatter Ridge, down ridge road to trails to dam, back to Scatter Ridge road, back to bridle trails, and Scatter Ridge to motorcycle trail, down past campsites to store, very hard rain, home thru Everett's’
·        Ran over top of small black snake with 5 dogs on “dog jog” > returned firing irons > visited Tinker Toy > Feldman’s here, got ewe down
·        I worked Song > rode Cricket, saw 3 deer, got horses out of hay meadow > locust grove gate repaired > Parade of the Hills
·        Holly, Sam Booth here overnight
·        Fritz cut Pat’s hair
·        Vet meeting Hocking Hills Lodge, naturalist spoke
 
SEPTEMBER
·        Missy lame, right hind leg/hip > Pat showed at State Fair, score 195, high 197 ½
·        Jessica showed at State Fair, outstanding of the day, 187 ½
·        Sunday Church of Good Shepherd, took Apple to watch motorcycles, rained all day
·        13th wedding anniversary
·        Pete rode Sailor, Pat Cricket, J Shah, I rode Preak; Dinner at Dolens’ > went to movies
·        Rich Feldman here used electric collar on Baron with sheep, worked well > picked up Lolly, bred 9/3/72; Persimmon bred 8/27/72
·        Daddy’s birthday
·        Pilot Dog Tour, 1:30
·        Sunday Church Good Shepherd > lunch DQ > rode Hocking Valley Railway > Pete rode Sailor, I rode Cricket, J rode Shah > watch Olympics on TV
·        Uncle Arthur Rhonemus birthday, 85
·        Gary’s birthday
·        Les Rivers birthday
