I was complaining about all the nasty cold wind and wet weather the past week.  April is sometimes called "the cruelest month" Why? I have to look that up? Aha! The poet T.S. Elliot said it in "Wasteland" and has been translated to mean that April awakes new life from Winter, but that instead of being refreshed and reborn, the writer has stirrings of regret and maybe a "what might have been", the promises of love and life for someone else, not for him. Time has passed him by, the years have dismissed the seasons as such hopes and plans the young and unjaded may enjoy in long springs and summers are not lived in by some in later years. Well, I have seen a few Springs and April is still the most beautiful month to me. It's not too hot, it is a bit foul and fair in the same day…but right now the sun is shining and the air is filled with the scent of hyacinths and lilies.

Scottish comedian Billy Connolly reminds us to laugh at it all, and hope and love can rise above bitterness, and regret. Look for the good, be in the good, and the good will be with you.

“I hate all those weathermen, too, who tell you that rain is bad weather. There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, so get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little.”

— Billy Connolly
