May 1985
- To clinic/barn > Athens Training Club (ATC), took Colonel, Puff
- Rained all day > took Pat's car, went to Mansfield/Gary/Dentist, stopped and visited with Aggie > chased sheep, fed, one large lamb stuck behind salt/mineral trough, newborn lamb under it, tied up ewe and new black lamb
- Wagged, took Streak, Colonel, Puff, checked sheep, fed ewes in barn, held lamb up to nurse > fell on gravel after trail ride, hurt knee
- Check sheep, Pete up from clinic for lunch > made cookies for church > to clinic/barn > couldn't get Derby on TV > Pete on calls, didn't get back in time for Carl/Kim's reception
- Checked sheep > church, coffee hour > Antique Fair, Convo/Nelson Commons > rode, J, Pete, also, down Dutch Creek, up gas well road > went to Operetta Gilbert & Sullivan
- Worked at desk > checked sheep/lamb down to clinic bottom > left Colonel at barn, cats "helped"
- Check on sheep > wagged > to clinic, briefly > talked to George Ledbetter/wildlife, about deer season problems > Jessica gave me ticket to symphony, took Puff > Pete on calls, Meigs 4H meeting
- Wrote letters > to clinic > to church > ran errands > mailed Mother's Day gifts > Pete, Gordon, Craig, butchered beef > ATC, took Puff, Colonel
- Pete on calls > wagged up to ridge and back, found radio collar for groundhog (?) > found Negro Den pictures for school project > fed sheep > to clinic, paid bills
- to clinic/barn, ewe ill, put in shed, Pete treated her and ewe with sore front feet
- Checked sheep > wagged, took Colonel, Puff, Streak > Pete up from clinic for lunch > Pat here, put up hammock for me > to Pat's, watched Hobbit movie (G. Yarborough sang theme song), Trinity movie
- Checked sheep, ewe had gotten out of shed > to church > rode Alrod, J rode Badge, friend "Ann" rode Junie, bad storm, put horses in barn > went into see "Mask" powerful movie, well done
- Checked sheep, to clinic/barn, put Junie in yard, taped Glenn Yarborough recordings
- Checked sheep > wagged up to ridge and back, shut gate, reset snares > with Pete to Sam's Gym, Hartley's
- to clinic > checked sheep, 2 sets twins, 1 lamb dead, put ewe/twins in pen > music at 12:15, cantata, Ed Payne, excellent > worked at desk/storm > ATC, Puff, Colonel
- Checked sheep > wagged Colonel, Puff > to clinic, prosecutor's office, errands, oxygen > Pete, Gordon put more roofing on garage
- Checked sheep, Bobby Sox, triplets, 1 large black lamb dead > to clinic/barn > Jessica, 2 sets of guests looked at lambs, horses, etc.
- Phone man here > Pete up from clinic for lunch > took sheep down to clinic, dewormed > R Muhn came to work on dryer, Allen Crippen, Mitzi helped with sheep > met Allen, Mitzi at movie > watched Preakness at Windy Hills
- To church, Pete to clinic > got horses in, very muddy, Allen, Mitzi, Ann Howland, rode over looked at Lew Smith farm, Ann, I came back - others rode over to Dow Lake, beautiful weather > I put feeder, small/wooden, down for sheep, fed them, etc. > to clinic, two emergencies > to O'Hooley's, hit cat on way home > milked Vicki
- Jerry Sullivan here > worked at desk > to clinic, let sheep back in barn, client's kids chasing them
- Pete - Workman's Camp, Logan, on calls > at clinic most of day, paid bills > to barn
- To clinic/barn, put sheep back down, used Colonel > R. Muhn worked on dryer again
- Wagged, came back thru 3rdd meadow, gum wrapper/pack, didn't see "silverbell bush" > ran errands, ran out of gas, Bonnie C., took me to phone, Gordon came with gas > got lame ewes in > Pete bulldozed burial area
- Treated lame ewes > checked out burial area, re-bulldozed > to clinic/barn > picked up Amish at bus station, strawberries, home 11:30 pm, very tired
- Picked up Amish at bus station, to clinic/barn, put sheep down in bottom > Pete bulldozed burial area
- Checked sheep, washed saddle pads > to church > clinic briefly > barn, Stephanie, Bill H. brought horse, mule, J roe Badge, went back thru area above Wagner's, we went on around thru Dow Lake trails, had ham/beans here
- Finished reading "Nap's Trials" > large black snake climbing around overhead in lilacs, maple tree > Pete logged up by Negro Den, put sheep down again, had jumped corral fence by climbing manure pile
- To barn, took lame sheep down, Pete removed claw/arthritis > wagged, took Puff > Pete up for lunch, short nap > Pete, Gordon cleaned out, bedded down horse shed, I ran errands > Reeve's black lab at M. Moneysworth, took her home; barn, put ewes/lambs down on bottom with Colonel > Pete on calls, then to Sam's Gym
- Wagged, took Puff > Pete surgeries, calls Mrs. Hunter's cow > OVMA office > Pete APS Equine Comm. meeting, etc., at Zoo, to Scioto Downs, dinner/races
