April 1985
- Pete took me into Columbus Airport, Peoples Express to Sarasota, Gary, Aggie, Mom, met me there, went to Tampa Airport, had supper
- Cold, rainy, went shopping, Mom watched TV
- Rode bike over to beach, found few shark's teeth, water warm but wind cold; took supper to Aunt Ann's, she gave me a lot of shark's teeth
- Went to watch Mom, bowling league, picked up Kitty, went to airport, good flight back, finished reading "Self-Trained Dogs", went to airport for Cruise Along; supper with Pete, CJs
- To clinic/barn, Pete, Gordon had cleaned out horse shed
- To clinic/barn, boxing at Sam's Gym, CJs
- To church, Pat, Karen there, snow, daffodils, beautiful music > worked dog > cleaned cages > Pete fed at barn > rode Junie > reset snares, took Colonel > Pete, Tim, put backhoe on, buried horse at Thompson's, rode Apple, short ride, bad cold, rain > went to bed early
- To clinic/barn > taxes to Pat > drug bills
- Pete horse surgery > to clinic > ran clinic errands, took dogs to M. Jenkins, had tea/pie at Townhouse, stopped at Pam Collier's with Puff, got clinic supplies > Pete to Hartley's
- Wagged, checked snares, Colonel, Puff, Ruff on lead > to clinic/barn, walked Bullet, Sissy, Purry-Furry chased Puff > took Puff ATC > deposit/Doris > churned butter
- Went to look at Subaru SW, Tom Sch., drove it, checked it > ran errands > bought car > to clinic briefly > Pete to Sam's Gym
- Wagged up to ridge, many spring beauties out, some purple violets > to clinic, took equines down to clinic, de-wormed, vacc, trimmed feet > Pat took me into get Subaru station wagon, picked up coveralls > fed at barn > walked Bullet, Sissy, PF
- To clinic/barn > J, P, Karen, Mike, friends, O'Hooley's, no music, got ice cream, donuts, came home and read paper > ring finger swollen
- To church > rode Junie, took Colonel, Puff, checked snares, Pete rode Apple, got back before rain > to clinic > Hamilton's dinner
- Checked snares > to clinic, calf out, got him in barn, got lambs in from hay meadow, shut gate, put horses in yard to eat grass
- Up early > took Scottie after lumber, took John Stutzman, wife, daughter, to bus depot > to clinic most of day > wagged, took Puff, Colonel, saw turkey running in woods
- Checked snares > wagged, took Colonel, Puff, Streak > to clinic/barn, put horses in yard to eat grass, picked up yard, listened to Prairie Home Companion, took Subaru SW to town, ate at Lamb's Garden, saw "Passage to India", home 2 am
- Church of Nazarene, missionaries, ex-neighbor of Jessica's > to clinic > rode Alrod; Pete, Allen Crippen, lumber > treated ewe
- Took ewe down to clinic in Subaru SW (SSW), brought Tom-Tom cat back up to house; picked up yard > to clinic, 2 dead black lambs in ravine
- Pete on calls > wagged, checked sheep, took Colonel > to clinic, ran errands, oxygen, etc., got supplies, fed at barn
- Checked sheep > to clinic > new tires on Doris > to barn, picked up Samuel Stutzman, wife, daughter at bus depot, took them home
- Pete surgeries > wagged, checked sheep > to clinic, paid bills > ewe at barn died
- Checked sheep > put ram in yard, got out > to clinic/barn > to The Dairy Barn Appalachian Exhibit Opener, music, dancing
- Wagged, light rain, checked sheep, found large weak lamb, large black lamb dead, head injury, tied ewe up so first lamb could nurse; took ram down to clinic barn; took items in for recycling, visited Heidi LaJohn, new baby girl, stopped at Pat's > to barn, milked ewe, Pete pumped milk into lamb's stomach > took Bullet, Sissy for walk around pond > popped popcorn (new hot air popper)
- Check sheep, orphan lamb dead, turned ewe out, put ewe with triplets in barn, put Apple, Badge, Junie in hay meadow > to church, coffee hour > rode Junie, Pete rode Apple, walked down to ledge cave below Dutch Creek road, rode up stream bottom through blue/white flowers, lovely, talked to David, Nicki, gave Nicki a ride on Junie, saw some deer; Jessica saw a turkey up near blackberry meadow > Pete milked white ewe for black lamb
- Flea combed cats > to clinic/barn > wagged, checked snares > sheep to clinic > Gordon, Craig worked on garage roof > ran errands, to Pam Collier's > to clinic, briefly, checked sheep
