Have You Heard: Celebrating the Legacy of Ed Bruce with the Release of His New Christian Country Album

NOV. 1, 2024 – Nashville, TN

The esteemed legacy of country music icon, Ed Bruce, continues to flourish with the release of his highly anticipated third Christian Country album through Music Row Talent Records, "Have You Heard." Now available on all major streaming platforms, this album stands as a testament to Bruce’s remarkable contribution to Christian country music, showcasing his deep, resonant voice intertwined with timeless country vibes.

Produced by Ed Bruce along with fellow friends and songwriters Jeff Elliott and Mike Morgan, "Have You Heard" encompasses 12 tracks that delve into themes of faith, redemption, and hope.

Larry Black, host of the popular TV show "Larry’s Country Diner," penned the heartfelt liner notes, saying, "When I began producing 'Country’s Family Reunion,' Ed was there, ready to sing the new songs God was giving him. I loved seeing the Ed I had played on the radio, met at the airport in Dallas, and later listened to as he brought his new music to life. It was a blessing right up till the end... and his music lives on."

Ed Bruce, who passed away on January 8, 2021, at the age of 81, was a renowned country music singer-songwriter, celebrated for hits like "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" and "You're the Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had." His profound influence continues to resonate through this posthumous release.

Songwriter and friend, Mike Morgan, shares, "It is a gift to all the fans who have supported and loved Ed’s music throughout the years."  Jeff Elliott added, “It is a reflection of Ed's passion for music and storytelling. We were deeply moved to help produce this album."

Scott Ross of CBN recalls an interview with Ed as he explained his moment of saving grace out on a tractor and how his life was changed forever. Scott relays...

“I started singing a new song one day. I just started singing it. It was just, 'Here it is!' I began with the chorus and wrote the rest later that day. The lyrics begin... ‘He lives. He said He could. He lives. He said He would. He lives. He said we should believe in Him. If we have faith with Him, there is a place through Him. We have grace because He lives.’"

Have You Heard is now available for digital download, and CDs can be purchased through Bandcamp.com. The album includes the following tracks:
