C. Faherty Brown
— Stories Rooted in Humanity and Heart
C. Faherty Brown is an Ohio‑based author whose writing is
defined by emotional depth, curiosity about people, and a profound respect for
the stories that shape us. Her work spans novels, short stories, poetry, and
reflective prose, each piece driven by a simple but powerful belief: every
human has an intriguing story worth telling.
I first met C. Faherty Brown at a Hocking Hills Book Fair.
Her books have an intriguing simplicity about life’s scenarios. Her creative
process is organic and intuitive. Rather than constructing elaborate plots in
advance, she begins with a single idea — a thought that intrigues her — and
lets the story unfold naturally as she writes. She describes herself as a
traveler, an observer, and someone deeply invested in the emotional truth of
her characters. Her stories often draw inspiration from her personal
experiences, studies, and travels, though they are not autobiographical.
She views writing as both a grounding force and a way to
honor the countless untold stories of humanity. With billions of lives lived
across time, she imagines the narratives we’ll never hear — and writes to give
some of them a voice.
